Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Carpenter to maintain district buildings, install and repair structures, fixtures, furniture and other items using wood and steel.

Responsibilities include drywall, ceilings, millwork and related construction, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with principals and staff to complete projects while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer trade school certification.

Responsibilities

• Repair or install drywall, ceilings, floors, millwork and related construction.
• Weld, fabricate, repair signage and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Act as Project Lead Person when assigned.
• Acquire materials based on projects.
• Review drawings and make recommendations.
• Attend continuing education on code and newer technology.
