Anchor Bay School District is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on district vehicles, buses, and equipment. The role requires following safety practices, reading manuals, and maintaining accurate records. It may involve nights and weekends, with opportunities to contribute to district events.

The successful candidate will work under supervision, with potential to supervise lower-level staff and support a safe, reliable fleet for student transportation services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsabilités

• Performs maintenance and repair duties for vehicles, buses, and equipment.
• Operates tools, welding equipment, mechanical hoists, and cranes.
• Conducts road testing to ensure vehicles and equipment operate within prescribed parameters.
• Reads and interprets manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
• Assists with district special events as needed.
