Job summary

Compass Group USA's Chartwells K-12 division is hiring a FOOD UNIT LEAD for the Ann Arbor Public Schools location at 601 West Stadium Boulevard, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. The full-time 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday–Friday schedule focuses on supervising food-service teams and ensuring quality service.

Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred. This position offers competitive pay ($19.50–$22.00 per hour) and associates benefits as part of the Chartwells K-12 program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of food-service employees to create an enjoyable dining experience.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages following company standards.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service and supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Develops work schedules and expedites workflow as needed.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, payroll, and time-keeping.
