Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in custodial / maintenance or a related field.
• Prior experience in an elementary, middle, or secondary school setting.
• Knowledge of the City of New Orleans.
• French language skills, or knowledge of French culture.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash cans in restrooms, offices, and hallways.
• Mop and disinfect floors throughout the building.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, toilet bowls, mirrors, and surfaces.
• Check soap, paper towel and tissue dispensers daily.
• Spot clean walls and ceilings; replace lights as needed.
• Sweep office carpets and floors; dust furniture surfaces and ledges.
• Clean window glass and chalkboards; dust ledges and light fixtures.
• Clean hallways, water fountains, A/C covers, stairs.
• Assist with general building maintenance and safety.
