Responsibilities

• Restroom duties: empty trash, mop and disinfect floors, sanitize sinks and toilets, check dispensers, spot clean walls and ceilings, replace lights.
• Offices: sweep carpets and floors, empty trash, dust furniture/ledges, clean and dust phones, clean light fixtures.
• Hallways: clean and disinfect water fountains, spot clean walls and A/C covers, dust ledges, replace lights, clean stairs and light fixtures.

The Janitor is primarily responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary, safe facility for students, staff and families, and minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure to the school.

Expectations, Educational Requirements

• Prior experience in custodial / maintenance or a related field
• Prior experience in an elementary, middle, or secondary school setting

• The duties of the Custodian may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

Restroom Duties

• Check soap, paper towel and tissue dispensers on a daily basis
• Spot clean walls and ceiling
• Replace lights
• Classrooms
