Job summary

Propel Montour Elementary School is seeking a Custodian for our Facilities Department. This position is based at Propel Montour Elementary School and is available immediately. The rate for this role is $15/hr.

This position works year round. Under moderate supervision, the selected candidate will perform janitorial duties that involve cleaning and sanitizing the school facility and its grounds, including, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, washing floors, cleaning windows, restrooms, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture and equipment, lifting, climbing ladders.
• Must be able to operate with supervision and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wiping, sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, vacuuming, polishing, and waxing floors.
• Cleaning windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment; restrooms kept stocked with towels and soap.
• Collecting and disposing of trash from buildings and grounds; outdoor maintenance like mowing and snow/ice removal.
