Job summary

Anderson County School District Five is seeking a Custodian at North Pointe Elementary School in Anderson, SC. The role supports cleaning, maintenance, and setup for events across district campuses.

The position is full-time, non-exempt with a 240-day term and salary set by the Board. Starting immediately, candidates should be able to perform diverse custodial tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning supplies; general janitorial procedures.
• Knowledge of school grounds, rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate and relate effectively to others orally and in writing.
• Ability to conduct precise measurements.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to follow work orders and work with minimum supervision; knowledge of safety procedures and proper lifting.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and tend to the facilities of all District campuses, including floors, restrooms, windows, and lights.
• Assist in cleaning outdoor areas and restock restroom supplies.
• Transport equipment and furniture and set up rooms for events.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, and cafeteria areas; remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Maintain fire extinguishers and manage work orders; ensure storage areas are clean and organized.
• Repair/maintain related equipment as needed.
