SUPERVISOR: Environmental Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 240 Days (if employed for full contract calendar). Salary determined by schedule set by the Board.
EVALUATION: Evaluated annually by the Custodial Supervisor/Trainer.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this classification is to ensure a clean and sanitary facility for a healthy and safe learning environment for students, and to manage custodial staff to ensure employees comply with safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of supplies for essential duties, and assisting school staff with on-demand requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and ability to use equipment for summer cleaning (side by sides, buffers, extractors, propane machines, pick-up machines); knowledge of District policies and procedures; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; good interpersonal skills; ability to supervise and guide others; ability to maintain confidentiality; high level of integrity; ability to multi-task effectively; ability to work in a team and independently; knowledge of custodial operations and general maintenance procedures.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USAGE:
Use computers for data entry. Operate custodial equipment and supervise the activities of employees operating custodial equipment; Interpret policy; Good computer and math skills.
EDUCATION:
Completion of high school/GED or testing at the Highschool/GED level.
EXPERIENCE:
1 year prior custodial experience.
LICENCES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

ACTIVITIES: Standing over 2/3 of the time; Walking over 2/3 of the time; Sitting under 1/3 of the time; Gripping or feeling with hands over 2/3 of the time; Reaching with hands and arms over 2/3 of the time; Climbing or balancing under 1/3 of the time; Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; Talking or hearing under 1/3 of the time; Tasting or smelling under 1/3 of the time.
LIFTING: Up to 10lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; Up to 25lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; Up to 50lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; Up to 100lbs under 1/3 of the time; More than 100lbs none of the time.
VISION REQUIREMENTS:
No special vision requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS:
Indoor and outdoor environment, noise, vibration, moisture and/or humidity, dust, fumes, chemical hazards.
