ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at a K-12 or higher education campus. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairs.
• Sweep, mop, and remove debris; clean spills.
• Empty trash in all designated areas.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to protect floors and fixtures.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager of repairs or additions to building systems.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and coworkers.
• Sort and recycle materials into proper receptacles.
• Dust desks, chairs, tables, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Polish wood, stainless steel, and other surfaces.
• Wipe tabletops, chairs, and equipment in dining areas.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, and mirrors.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as raking leaves or snow removal as needed.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness; polish fixtures as needed.
• Follow all safety, security, and quality standards set by ABM and regulators.
