ROWAN COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL in Morehead, KY is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs across classrooms, restrooms, hallways, auditorium, cafeteria, gym, and outdoor areas. Reports to the Principal and supports safe, clean learning environments.

Responsibilities include managing daily cleaning tasks, inspecting facilities, and ensuring appropriate temperature and security conditions while maintaining supplies and reporting larger repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Clean classrooms, departmental offices, teachers’ lunchroom, and guidance suite, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Clean restrooms, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Clean stairways, entrance halls, and hallways, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Clean auditorium, stage, and backstage areas.
• Clean cafeteria (commons) area, chairs, tables, and glass cases.
• Clean gymnasium, dust mop floors, wash glass and surfaces.
• Inform the school principal of items that require repair beyond this capacity.
• Keep walkways and entrances free from ice, snow or debris.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; inform principal of needs.
• Ensure entrances are locked or unlocked at proper times.
• Perform daily routine inspection of heating and cooling facilities and report needs.
• Maintain classroom temperatures between 68-72°F during the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
