The custodian will follow district policies, support students, staff, and guests, and contribute to a healthy learning environment by keeping classrooms, hallways, and grounds in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the agility test and meet safety requirements.
• Ability to schedule activities and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and trainings to gather information for duties.
• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Regulate HVAC to provide seasonally appropriate temperatures and conserve energy.
• Raise and lower the US flag.
• Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
• Monitor safety and report concerns promptly.
• Clean corridors after school and during the day as needed.
• Disinfect toilets and sanitize fixtures daily.
• Wash windows inside and out at least twice yearly.
• Maintain grounds and perform basic repairs as assigned.
• Open/close the building and ensure doors/windows are secured.
