Alleghany County Schools Piney Creek School seeks a full-time custodian for a 12-month assignment at Piney Creek Elementary School. Under general supervision, you will perform custodial and light groundskeeping duties to care for and maintain school buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, minor maintenance, and assisting with events. Must be able to operate cleaning equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifikationen

• Some experience in custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Aufgaben

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
• Cleans restroom areas and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary.
• Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
• Dusts and cleans desks and other furniture.
• Empties trash receptacles; deposits recyclable material in proper receptacles.
• Replaces burned-out light bulbs.
• Prepares requisition forms to obtain necessary supplies for coming workweek.
