Job summary

Fox C 6 School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain clean, safe learning environments across district facilities in Arnold, MO. The role supports classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, with light maintenance and event support as needed.

This non-exempt, full-time (260 days) or part-time position requires the ability to perform physical custodial work, operate cleaning tools, and follow safety procedures to ensure a welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
• Strong communication with staff, students, and the public.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
• Experience with custodial duties and safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned school facilities in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, libraries, and other areas.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and waxing floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling and dispose of waste materials.
• Set up and remove tables, chairs, and equipment for events.
