Job summary

Delta County School District 50J in Cedaredge, CO, seeks a Custodian for Cedaredge High School for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role is 249 days per year, 8 hours per day, with a starting wage of $17.99/hour plus experience-based adjustments. A fingerprint/background check is required. Responsibilities include daily cleaning and disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, carpet shampooing, floor stripping

Qualifications

• Must pass a Fingerprint/Background Check.
• Physical demands include significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Must vacuum, sweep and mop daily; shampoo carpets and strip, seal and wax floors at least once a year.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently, with other repetitive lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep and mop daily in classrooms, cafeteria/commons, and identified areas.
• Shampoo carpets; strip, seal and wax identified classroom floors at least once per year.
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, restrooms, sinks, and surfaces daily.
• Open, set up, and clean to host events in classrooms and commons areas; assist with after-school functions.
• Set up chairs and tables; shovel snow from entryways and sidewalks as needed.
