Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Custodian at Towles Elementary School to maintain clean, safe school facilities. Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, setup for events, and basic maintenance tasks as needed.

Position may require early mornings or after-hours coverage. Applicants should have reliable work habits and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience demonstrating reliability, responsibility and good work habits.
• Knowledge of reading, writing and basic arithmetic sufficient to perform job duties and cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, shampoos, and waxes floors, ... cleans and sanitizes restrooms, locker rooms and showers.
• Moves furniture and equipment and sets up rooms and auditoriums for events.
• Performs minor maintenance such as replacing lights and painting small rooms.
• Washes, removes and stacks furniture and conducts summer cleaning/restoration.
• Responds to off-hours for emergencies as needed.
