Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Utility Crew Custodian 1 to perform custodial, facilities maintenance, and emergency response duties across schools and district sites. The role includes cleaning floors, carpets, restrooms, and general spaces, plus minor maintenance and seasonal grounds work.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (desirable) and 6 months to 1 year of custodial experience or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is desirable but not required.
• Six months to one year of custodial experience or equivalent maintenance training and experience.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, shampoo, and wax floor surfaces.
• Vacuum, repair, and steam clean carpets and rugs.
• Dust, wash, and polish furniture, fixtures, shelving, counters, and woodwork.
• Deep clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and showers.
• Maintain operational and training records and inventory for equipment.
