Qualifications

• Ability to learn and proficiently perform custodial care tasks.
• Ability to hear, understand, and follow oral instructions in English.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English at a minimum 6th grade level.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a custodial team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition per GCPS Custodial Care Program.
• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks as scheduled by supervisor.
• Utilize approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment following GCPS policies.
• Maintain custodial tools and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition.
• Open and secure facilities or grounds areas as instructed by supervisory staff.
• Suggest alternate cleaning practices and assist Environmental and Supply Services in evaluating them.
• Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with team members and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
