Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a custodian to perform daily cleaning and custodial care tasks across GCPS facilities. You will follow schedules, use approved chemicals and equipment, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and basic English reading/listening skills; experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred. You will work as part of a custodial team and support GCPS operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and perform custodial tasks.
• Ability to follow oral and written English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned cleaning and custodial tasks per supervisor schedule.
• Utilize approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain custodial tools and equipment in clean, sanitary, and safe condition.
• Open and secure assigned facilities as instructed by supervisory staff.
• Suggest alternate cleaning practices and assist in evaluations with Environmental and Supply Services.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
