Performance Academies in Cleveland, OH is seeking a dedicated Custodian to help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.

You will perform daily cleaning, facility maintenance, and safety duties across classrooms and common areas, while supporting school operations and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and empty trash throughout the building.
• Perform floor care, including buffing, waxing, and carpet maintenance.
• Complete minor building repairs and report maintenance issues as needed.
• Maintain custodial equipment and ensure adequate cleaning supplies are available.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly school environment.
• Follow established safety procedures and complete required safety training.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support school operations by responding to custodial and facility needs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Work independently while managing daily cleaning priorities.
• Maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and visitors.
• Follow oral and written instructions and contribute to a positive team environment.
