Job summary

Bradley County Schools is hiring a Custodian for Lake Forest Middle School on a 10-month, full-time basis. The role involves general cleaning, maintenance, and custodial support for students and staff at the school site.

Under supervision of the Principal and Facilities Director, the custodian will perform routine cleaning, grounds work, and supply handling, with background check required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in building/cleaning maintenance desirable.
• [TN] Vehicle license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at start and end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, offices, and other areas per district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstery, and blinds.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills.
• Remove graffiti and clean glass areas.
• Set up and break down chairs and equipment for meetings.
• Clear snow, spread sand and de-icer as needed.
• Assist in grounds-keeping and deliveries to classrooms.
