Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark ("CCAN") is a non-profit affiliated with Mount Carmel Guild Schools Corporation ("MCGS"), which operates Mount Carmel Guild Academy. Located in West Orange, New Jersey, the Academy serves grades PRE-K-12 for children in special education. MCGS is seeking a Full-Time Custodian.

The Custodian is responsible for:

1. Daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and common areas.
2. Minor maintenance and repair tasks, including fixing leaky faucets and replacing light bulbs.
3. Managing waste disposal, handling spills, and addressing hazards to ensure safety.
4. Setting up and taking down equipment and furniture for school events.
5. Maintaining the physical upkeep of the building and monitoring security to ensure a safe environment.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Basic reading, writing, and ability to follow verbal instructions; skills to operate equipment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Custodial/cleaning experience preferred.
