ABM Industries is seeking a Custodial Account Manager to oversee custodial staff and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of school facilities. The role emphasizes leadership, detailed inspections, and adherence to OSHA and client protocols.

Location is in Downers Grove, IL with a standard weekday schedule and a competitive annual compensation. The ideal candidate brings extensive custodial management experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with custodial software and Microsoft

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years custodial/janitorial experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass screenings for ABM and the client.
• Certifications such as CCT or CMI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the full scope of work for custodial frontline staff.
• Assign cleaning task schedules and monitor completion to meet standards.
• Inspect assigned buildings and facilities regularly.
• Provide ongoing training on cleaning procedures, safety, and equipment use.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Prepare staff performance and maintenance reports.
• Coordinate cleaning schedules for daily, weekly, and special projects.
• Respond to custodial emergencies such as spills or biohazards.
