City of San Antonio seeks a maintenance supervisor to oversee assigned crews in servicing and maintaining equipment. The role includes directing foremen, planning work, and ensuring safety and compliance with standards. Work hours are 9:00 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m. with occasional overtime and weekends. Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, inventory control, and performance inspections across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required as a minimum education.
• Four years maintenance experience including at least one year in a foreman/crew-leader role.
• Texas driver’s license with any required endorsements.

Responsabilités

• Supervises, schedules, and may participate in activities of skilled and semi-skilled workers performing maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Maintains records and prepares progress reports.
• Maintains inventory of parts and equipment; orders parts and equipment as necessary.
• Performs inspection of equipment, structures, and systems for proper operation.
• Provides safety equipment and ensures it is safe and operational; reports hazards.
• May supervise grounds maintenance and landscape functions.
• Provides daily reports of work needed, accomplished, or in progress.
• Ensures all equipment is operating in safe condition.
• Inspects work in progress and upon completion to evaluate performance.
• Communicates with assigned crew; may perform movements and lift up to 50 pounds.
