Addison Group is partnering with a mission-driven K–8 public charter school in Washington, DC to identify an experienced Dean of School Culture. This on-site, full-time direct hire role focuses on fostering a positive climate, mentoring staff, and developing systems for safe, inclusive learning.

It offers a clear advancement path in leadership. The position emphasizes collaboration, equity, and professional growth, with a schedule of 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, onsite in Washington, DC, and benefits

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of teaching and/or educational leadership experience.
• Experience with student behavior management and restorative practices.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and staff development skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Experience analyzing data to improve student outcomes and school climate.

Aufgaben

• Lead and enhance school-wide culture initiatives to promote a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Develop and improve behavior management systems and restorative practices.
• Coach and mentor teachers on classroom management and student engagement.
• Build partnerships with students, families, and staff to encourage positive communication.
• Support students through conflict resolution and individualized support plans.
• Monitor attendance and school climate data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate student recognition programs and school-wide celebrations.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the school day.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure safety and consistency.
• Assist with school-wide events and leadership duties as needed.
