Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wear appropriate clothing and safety vest.
• Must meet Colorado DOT minimum qualifications and maintain safety standards.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.
• Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps for crossing.
• Communicate crossing rules to students and adults.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers as needed.
• Direct traffic or warn of hazards using signs, flags, and hand signals.
• Report incidents involving students to the principal.
• Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding signals and report infractions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
