Qualifications

• Physically able to perform crossing guard duties in any weather.

Responsibilities

• Directs actions of children at street intersections to ensure safe crossing.
• Records license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and reports infractions to the police.
• Observes vehicles and pedestrians near school crosswalks to report suspicious activity.
• Notifies uncooperative or abusive child.
• Follows all safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions to the field supervisor immediately, or as soon as possible.
