Township of Lower Merion seeks a School Crossing Guard to ensure the safe movement of children across crosswalks during morning and afternoon dismissal in Ardmore, PA. You will observe traffic gaps and lead students safely across intersections, under the supervision of the Police Department.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to follow instructions, valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and successful background checks with state police, state child

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to instruct students in the safe crossing of intersections.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully pass and maintain background checks: PSP, Child Abuse History Certification, and FBI clearance through DHS.

Responsabilités

• Provides the safe movement of children to and from school when crossing public roadways and intersections by observing gaps in the traffic and leading the children across the roadway or intersection.
• Provides information and assistance to the public.
• Reports any crime or suspicious activity observed.
