Position Type: Permanent Full Time / Part Time: Part Time

$16.75 hourly. South Area/Viera - Suntree. Part‑time, 2 hours daily (mornings and afternoons) on school days. Performs entry‑level protective service work ensuring the safe and orderly crossing of school‑age children at the assigned location.

Requirements

• No formal education, training, or experience is required.
• Experience as a crossing guard or other work with elementary school‑age children is preferred.

Special Requirements

• Must be of good moral character as determined by a personal background investigation.
• Must be able to pass the Brevard County Performance Checklist for School Crossing Guards prior to assuming duties.
• Must have a working home telephone or personal cell phone.
• In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man‑made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
