The City of Ypsilanti is seeking a School Crossing Guard! This responsible position requires an individual who can interact amicably with children and exercise good judgment to ensure the safe movement of children to and from school roadways or intersections. School Crossing Guards work approximately 2 to 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday, during the school year (September through June). Specific hours are set by the Police Administrative Services Manager and may vary based on demand.
Requires walking, standing, and using hands to operate objects, with specific vision abilities needed.
Outside in all weather conditions, with moderately loud noise levels due to traffic.
