Job summary

Aiken County Public Schools is seeking a Special Programs Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year in Aiken, South Carolina. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling is required.
• Experience providing counseling services in schools or similar settings is desirable.
• Knowledge of behavioral interventions and community resources is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students/teachers/parents to assess needs and improve social/behavioral skills.
• Provide direct individual/group/family counseling and behavioral support.
• Develop behavioral goals, interventions and treatment plans for identified students.
• Collaborate with community agencies to identify resources for students and families.
• Facilitate transitions between alternative environments and home schools with monitoring.
