Job summary

Audubon-Schools seeks a School Counselor to provide counseling and support at an assigned campus in the United States. The role focuses on students’ academic, personal/social, and career development with a strong emphasis on collaboration with families and staff.

The counselor delivers individual and group therapy, supports IEP/SAT processes, and coordinates with the school nurse and teachers to promote student success across the learning spectrum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years elementary school counseling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree counseling, education or related field preferred.
• Certification as School Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities related to students’ academic, personal/social, and career goals.
• Provide short and long-term therapeutic counseling.
• Lead small groups to develop social skills.
• Attend/participate in IEP/IAP/SAT meetings as requested.
• Work with school nurse to monitor medications and student health needs.
• Maintain detailed, compliant student records and data.
