Job summary

Saint Louis Counseling is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families in school-based and community settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and community partners to promote academic and personal success.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field, active Missouri licensure (or pursuit), and experience with behavioral health services for youth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active clinical licensure or pursuing licensure in Missouri (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience collaborating with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active caseload and provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, family, group, and crisis intervention services to children, adolescents, and families.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with schools, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to support positive client outcomes.
• Develop and facilitate treatment groups, educational presentations, prevention programs, and other services addressing client and community needs.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments and treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate.
• Participate in supervision, agency meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities.
• Support outreach activities and marketing efforts to increase awareness of School Partnership Program services.
• Participate on agency committees and perform other duties as assigned.
