Job summary

Saint Louis Counseling, part of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, seeks an exceptional School Counselor to join our dedicated team.

The School Counselor provides counseling and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families in school-based and community-based settings, helping students overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve academic and personal success. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active clinical licensure or licensure in Missouri (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, clinical documentation standards, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active caseload and provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, family, group, and crisis intervention services to children, adolescents, and families in school-based and community-based settings.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with schools, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to support positive client outcomes and access to needed services.
• Develop and facilitate treatment groups, educational presentations, prevention programs, and other services that address client and community needs.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and related records.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate to support treatment goals and successful outcomes.
• Participate in professional supervision, agency meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities.
• Support agency initiatives, outreach activities, community partnerships, and marketing efforts that increase awareness of School Partnership Program services.
• Participate on agency committees, projects, and special assignments and perform other duties as assigned.
