Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, St. Louis Counseling, seeks a School Counselor to provide counseling and therapeutic services in school-based and community settings.

The role collaborates with educators, families, and partners to promote access to services and supports academic and personal growth. The position is full-time, with starting compensation of $46,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and licensure, and includes

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited school.
• Working toward licensure or license earned.
• Experience and strict adherence to policies of non-discrimination.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled staff and clinical supervision meetings.
• Maintain clinical caseload and provide school-based/community presentations and group work.
• Provide direct counseling and casework services in schools or with community agencies.
• Assess treatment modality and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, physicians and insurers as needed.
• Engage in supervision and develop new treatment groups for client needs.
• Participate in marketing efforts to raise awareness of Catholic Charities.
• Provide referrals and collateral contacts to help clients access needed services.
• Meet ministry program guidelines and participate in meetings.
