Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a licensed School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and career planning needs of students in Thornton, CO. The role focuses on implementing a data-driven, ASCA-aligned counseling program that promotes student achievement and well-being.

The position requires a Master’s degree or higher, and a Special Services Provider License with a School Counseling endorsement or the ability to obtain one. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher degree required.
• Valid Colorado educator licenses or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred; ELL/linguistically diverse endorsement valued.

Responsibilities

• Direct student meetings, small groups, and classroom counseling sessions.
• Coordinate communication among teachers, parents, mental health teams and community partners.
• Develop and implement a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program in line with ASCA standards.
• Support academic advising, scheduling, and postsecondary planning.
• Promote student safety and well-being across academic and social-emotional domains.
