Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools is seeking a School Counselor to develop and implement a comprehensive counseling program aligned with ASCA standards and the district's plan. You will support students' academic, career, and personal-social development.

The role requires data-driven planning, collaboration with educators and families, and delivery of classroom guidance and targeted interventions to help students succeed in high school and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Maryland School Counselor certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in urban schools preferred.
• Knowledge of data-driven counseling practices.
• Ability to analyze data for program planning.

Responsibilities

• Uses data to develop comprehensive programs that meet student needs.
• Implements a data-driven college and career readiness program.
• Monitors academic performance, behavior, and attendance; coordinates interventions.
• Provides individual and group counseling services.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, and community partners.
• Coordinates counseling services and supports student services in the school.
• Implements classroom guidance lessons as required.
