Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton, CO is seeking a certified school counselor to promote academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and college/career planning within a comprehensive ASCA-aligned program. The role requires a Master's or higher degree, Colorado licensure within 30 days, and fluency in Spanish preferred.

The position is a replacement permanent/regular, 9-month, 40-hour work week. Salary is placed on the district's certified schedule; see Master Agreement for details.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher required.
• Colorado Educator License within 30 days of hire.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in individual and small group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support student success.
• Implement and monitor ASCA-aligned counseling program across three domains: academic, career, social-emotional.
• Provide data-driven counseling and crisis interventions as needed.
• Support transition programs and equitable access to resources for diverse student populations.
