Job summary

Cherry Hill Public Schools seeks a qualified School Counselor to provide socio-emotional and academic counseling to students and families. The role requires NJ School Counselor Certification and strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, with a commitment to confidentiality and equity.

You will collaborate with Student Success Team, assist in evaluating programs, participate in testing and scheduling, and may take on additional duties from the principal.

Qualifications:

• NJ School Counselor Certification
• Strong interpersonal, written, communication, and confidentiality skills
• Ability to provide socio-emotional and academic counseling to groups and individuals
• Ability to evaluate school programs and resources to best support needs of students and families
• Desire and ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability
• Experience with testing, scheduling, and CTE pathways preferred
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Serve on Student Success Team to identify students who may need targeted supports
• Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal
• Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications
• Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included
• All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
