Job summary

Condobolin Public School, part of the NSW Department of Education, seeks a School Counsellor to support student wellbeing and learning through counselling, assessment and collaboration with school staff and families. The successful candidate will be based at Condobolin Public School, with opportunities to work across primary and high school aged students.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions with children and young people.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and report writing.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Be a registered or provisionally registered psychologist, or eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Ability and willingness to travel between worksites and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Eligibility to apply for teaching approval under NSW Teachers award (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment for students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Participate in supervision and continuing professional development.
• Maintain professional registration and adhere to governance requirements.
• Travel between NSW school sites as required.
