Job summary

The Goddard School of Pearland Parkway is seeking a dependable, caring School Cook to join our team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for students, following menus and nutrition guidelines while maintaining a clean kitchen.

The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, organized, experienced with food preparation and sanitation, and able to communicate with staff. Childcare environment experience is a plus; we offer a positive, collaborative school setting.

• Passionate about providing healthy, kid-friendly meals.
• Previous experience cooking in childcare center, school, healthcare facility, or similar setting is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for students according to school menus and nutrition guidelines.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate when supplies need to be ordered.
• Maintain accurate kitchen and food-service records.
• Work closely with the school administration and teaching team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
• Help create a welcoming mealtime experience for our students.
