Job summary

The Goddard School of Pearland Parkway is hiring a dependable School Cook who loves preparing fresh, nutritious meals for children. You will work in a positive environment and help ensure meals meet menus and nutrition guidelines.

You’ll follow safety procedures, maintain a clean kitchen, and coordinate with staff to serve meals on time, while supporting a welcoming mealtime experience for students.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and organized.
• Detail-oriented and committed to following food safety procedures.
• Experience with food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Patient, positive, and comfortable working in a childcare environment.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff and administration.
• Passionate about providing healthy, kid-friendly meals.
• Previous experience cooking in a childcare center, school, healthcare facility, or similar setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for students according to school menus and nutrition guidelines.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate when supplies need to be ordered.
• Maintain accurate kitchen and food-service records.
• Work closely with the school administration and teaching team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
• Help create a welcoming mealtime experience for our students.
