Job summary

The Goddard School of Houston (Energy Corridor) is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for our preschool students at the Houston campus. You will help with breakfast, lunch, and snacks, while ensuring kitchen cleanliness and a welcoming dining environment.

Experience cooking for 150+ children is required. We offer a competitive hourly wage ($15–$17) and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh fruit, vegetables, and other products
• Serving breakfast, cooking and serving lunch for all classrooms; serving a morning and afternoon snack
• Writing and preparing monthly lunch and snack menus
• Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry
• Rinsing kitchen equipment and cutting boards
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry
• Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory
• Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management
• And most importantly… having fun! You are working in a preschool!

Compensation

New Cooks generally earn between $15 and $17 an hour depending on professional experience.
