Job summary

Airscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking school cleaners to keep classrooms safe, clean, and germ-free. Responsibilities include mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, restocking supplies, and reporting issues. All staff must follow COSHH rules and pass a UK enhanced DBS background check.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with two time blocks: 06:00–09:00 and 15:00–18:00; you may take one or both shifts. Pay is £14.80 per hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and COSHH regulations.
• Able to lift/move light classroom furniture.
• DBS check (enhanced) required in the UK.
• On-the-job training is provided.
• Past cleaning experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily upkeep: sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
• Disinfect toilets, sinks, urinals, and restock soap and paper.
• Empty bins and manage waste.
• Wipe desks, tables, and door handles.
• Report broken items to site manager.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Restroom hygiene: Disinfect toilets, sinks, and urinals, and refill hand soap and toilet paper.
• Waste management: Empty bins and take out the trash.
• Surface cleaning: Wipe down desks, tables, and door handles.

Essential Skills and Requirements

• Safety first: Know how to use cleaning chemicals safely. You must also follow COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) rules.
• Fitness: Be able to lift, bend, and move lightweight classroom furniture.
• Safeguarding: All school staff must pass a background check. In the UK, this is an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
• Teamwork: Work well with site managers and other staff.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Past cleaning experience is helpful but not always required. On-the-job training is often provided.

Pay: £14.80 per hours

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Shift times: 06am to 09am & 15:00pm to 18:00pm. You can do both or just one shift. It's your choice.
