A school cleaning role with Allscreens Nationwide Ltd requires attention to safety and hygiene. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, and trash disposal in classrooms and common areas.
Ideal candidates will follow COSHH guidelines, pass an enhanced DBS check, and be able to lift light furniture. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with two separate time blocks.
School cleaners keep classrooms safe, clean, and germ-free. Main duties include mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, sanitizing restrooms, and emptying bins. They restock paper and soap. They also clean up spills and spot-check shared surfaces. Cleaners must use chemicals safely and report broken items.
Key Duties and Tasks
Daily upkeep: Sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas.
Restroom hygiene: Disinfect toilets, sinks, and urinals, and refill hand soap and toilet paper.
Waste management: Empty bins and take out the trash.
Surface cleaning: Wipe down desks, tables, and door handles.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Safety first: Know how to use cleaning chemicals safely. You must also follow COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) rules.
Fitness: Be able to lift, bend, and move lightweight classroom furniture.
Safeguarding: All school staff must pass a background check. In the UK, this is an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Teamwork: Work well with site managers and other staff.
Qualifications:
Experience: Past cleaning experience is helpful but not always required. On-the-job training is often provided.
Pay: £14.80 per hours
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Shift times: 06am to 09am & 15:00pm to 18:00pm. You can do both or just one shift. It's your choice.
