Qualifications

• 60 earned credits from an accredited college or university.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• Completion of IU08 training program.
• Classroom Monitor certificate processed via LEA.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Be a mandated reporter for child abuse/neglect under PA State Law.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and manage attendance per district procedures.
• Communicate expectations for behavior in line with school policies.
• Ensure students are never left unattended and monitor lessons as guided.
• Oversee delivery of pre-planned lessons and activities per teacher notes.
• Monitor students during silent study and independent work.
• Collect and maintain completed student work and progress notes.
