Qualifications

• At least 25 years of age.
• Completion of IU08 training program.
• Classroom Monitor certificate processed via LEA.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Understand the responsibility of being a mandated reporter under PA State Law.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times and maintain order in the classroom.
• Take attendance according to district procedures and communicate expectations for behavior.
• Ensure students are not left unattended and monitor delivery of pre-planned lessons and activities.
• Report to the school office at the start and end of the day with required materials and schedules.
• Perform duties typically expected of a regular classroom teacher when necessary.
• Maintain professional attitude and adhere to school policies and district procedures.
