Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of security or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Active DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of students, staff, and visitors on campus.
• Patrol campus to monitor behavior, secure buildings, investigate disturbances, and enforce regulations.
• Assist in supervising student activities before, during, and after school hours.
• Promote a culture of safety, excellence, respect, and pride.
• Assist with traffic patterns for arrivals/departures and special events.
• Support emergency services and issue work requisitions.
• Conduct crossing-guard duties as assigned.
• Assist with emergency evacuation procedures and response plans.
• Respond to inquiries in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.
• Maintain courteous relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
• Coordinate with Facilities Supervisor and Directors of Learning.
• Propose corrective actions to improve systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in assigned tasks and projects.
• Inform administration of notable occurrences or environment changes.
