Job summary

The ASU Preparatory Academy (ASU Prep) is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors on campus. The role involves patrolling grounds, enforcing rules, assisting in supervising student activities, and supporting emergency procedures.

Eligible candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year security experience, strong English skills, and a DPS IVP Clearance Card. Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in security or maintenance preferred.
• English reading/writing essential; Spanish a plus.
• Active DPS IVP Clearance Card required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students, staff and visitors on campus.
• Patrol campus, secure buildings, investigate disturbances and enforce regulations.
• Supervise activities before, during and after school.
• Promote safety, excellence, respect and pride on campus.
• Assist with traffic flow for arrivals/departures and events.
• Support emergency services and evacuation procedures.
• Coordinate with Facilities Supervisor and Directors of Learning.
