Job summary

The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind (VSDB) is seeking a Housekeeping Worker to maintain sanitation in educational and residential facilities in Staunton, VA. This 12-month classified position offers state benefits including health, retirement, and life insurance.

Responsibilities include cleaning, following safety protocols, and supporting a 24/7 learning environment; CDL not required but a Virginia driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning residential spaces.
• Ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written form.
• ASL Novice level or willingness to acquire within three years.
• CPR/First Aid certification current or must obtain per policy.
• Ability to understand safety, sanitation and cleanliness needs.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s license with responsible driving record.
• Willingness to work alternate schedules.
