Job summary

Millbury Public Schools seeks a General Cafeteria Worker at Millbury Jr./Sr. High School for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position is 3.75 hours daily, Monday through Friday, during the school year.

You will assist in food preparation, serve meals, help with cleaning, follow sanitation procedures, and may perform cashier duties as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; food service experience is preferred, and ability to lift 30+ pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate pleasant, customer-oriented, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation for the school lunch program.
• Serve food to students and staff as instructed and per nutrition requirements.
• Assist in daily cleaning of kitchen areas, equipment, tables and dishes.
• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures.
• Perform cashiering duties as needed.
• Perform other cafeteria duties as determined by the Cook Manager or School Administration.
